+++ Aptitude Test 2024 +++

The aptitude test for the Master's programme in Journalism will take place on 10 and 13 June 2021 on the campus of JGU in Mainz. The aptitude test will again consist of three parts, a knowledge test and two journalistic pieces:

Knowledge test (general knowledge)
The aptitude test will start on 10 June 2024 with a knowledge test, which will be conducted in the form of an e-exam. Directly after the e-exam, the result of the knowledge test will be announced. Those who have not passed the knowledge test have not passed the aptitude test and no longer need to write the two journalistic papers.

Writing an opinion piece
For writing the opinion piece, we will present two topics to choose from on 10 June 2024 and give advice on the forms of presentation of opinion pieces. You will have two hours to write your opinion piece.

Writing a report
On 11 June 2024, we will present the topic for writing the report, give advice on the form of presentation of the report and provide documents. You will have four hours to write the report.

Further information on the qualifying examination 2024 will be sent to all applicants who fulfil the formal requirements for the application by e-mail together with the invitation to the qualifying examination at the beginning of June 2024.
