Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jessica Kunert has been a junior professor for Innovation and Gender Research in Journalism at the School of Journalism since December 2021. Her research and teaching focus on the development, use and impact of innovations and digitalization in journalism and the social impact of digital communication processes. Topics on which she conducts research include the development and reception of artificial intelligence for journalistic reporting and the innovative capacity of public service broadcasting. Jessica Kunert also researches the work processes of investigative journalists and also examines the special (fan) cultures in women’s soccer and the use of digital tools in sports communication.
