Every year, medium magazin honours exciting young talents in journalism with its ‘Top 30 to 30’ awards. Once again, JS alumni are among them. We are delighted for them and congratulate them warmly!
Jana Ballweber and Henrik Rampe were included in the ‘Top 30 to 30’ in 2024. Both graduated from the JS with a Master’s degree in Journalism. Jana specialises in digital and technology topics and currently works for the news agency KNA. Henrik works freelance and has already published articles in Die Zeit, SZ and Stern, among others. He was awarded third place in the Wächterpreis for his research on water abstraction in a team from the Main-Post.
JS graduates have already been honoured as ‘Top 30 to 30’ in previous years: Léonardo Kahn from the German-French Master’s programme ‘Transnational Journalism’ and Maike Wurtscheid and Frederik von Castell from the Master’s programme ‘Journalism’. Frederik von Castell is now editor-in-chief of medium magazine and a lecturer at the JS for Digital Research.
