It’s never wrong when journalists can do maths.
Matthias Stolz has been working as a research associate at the School of Journalism since 2023. He specialises in data journalism and magazine journalism, having been an editor at ZEITmagazin for many years. He is currently taking an academic sabbatical. His dissertation project is about the assessment of dashboards, a genre of digital journalism packed with numbers and data visualisations that became popular during the Covid-19 pandemic.
