What is quality in journalism? Do people still trust newspapers? How can editorial teams make good use of technologies like "virtual reality"? In order to be able to answer questions like these and many more, we also need answers from academia. The Journalism Seminar combines career orientation with science, thus advancing journalism research, building bridges to the media industry and providing impetus for journalistic practice. As an institution of the Johannes Gutenberg University and as part of the Mainz Institute for Journalism, it is part of a strong research community.
